June 14th marks the official debut of Blacktivity, a groundbreaking, free on-demand streaming network that will house a wide spectrum of Black-led content—from films and documentaries to podcasts, music specials, and more. But Blacktivity is more than just another streaming platform. It’s a bold new movement rooted in accessibility, authenticity, and community.

The network is the brainchild of creative entrepreneur Devin White, who says his inspiration came from disillusionment with the traditional entertainment industry.
“After so much time spent around industry, I just felt like there was a different way for things to function—one that could free artists from constantly seeking gatekeepers for access and authority,” said White. “That kind of system breeds corruption and desperation—things that should be nowhere near creativity.”

Blacktivity, he explains, is not just a channel—it’s a free membership-based creative ecosystem, designed to give artists access to the tools, knowledge, and community support often kept behind closed doors. “We want artists from all fields to have a space to visit to seek guidance, inspiration, and resources. Black creators are the most over-mentored yet underfunded group in entertainment,” White shared. “Our mission is to eliminate the time, energy, and money wasted trying to ‘get in the room’ so they can instead elevate what they’re creating.”

The network’s streaming infrastructure is powered by Red Coral Universe, the latest platform by Oscar-winning filmmaker Larry Meistrich, known for producing urban classics like Belly, New Jersey Drive, and the Academy Award-winning Sling Blade. Red Coral Universe, available globally via the App Store, is built on principles of creator equality and empowerment and already boasts over 26,000 subscribers.

The official Blacktivity launch will take place at CFG Arena in Baltimore, Maryland with a major concert event featuring performances by R&B stars Tink, Mariah The Scientist, Fridayy, and surprise guests. The event, managed in collaboration with Cruz Control Entertainment, doubles as both a celebration and a real-time unveiling of the network to thousands of live attendees. Blacktivity also has plans to revolutionize how concerts are experienced and captured, offering new ways to document and share the culture in real-time.

In a strategic and mission-driven twist, Blacktivity is structured as a nonprofit 501(c)(3). This means the platform is legally required to reinvest all revenue directly into its mission—supporting creators rather than turning profits for shareholders. “Our viewership is our currency,” White says. “We all don’t come from wealth, but we create it by what we support and give our attention to. Blacktivity is one opportunity for us to empower ourselves and essentially give while we watch.”

Behind the scenes, Blacktivity also benefits from the leadership of Ngozi T. Robinson, a co-founder with over 20 years of experience in nonprofit development.
“In these times, we need community and a safe space to share and celebrate our Black Boy Joy and Black Girl Magic, along with all people of color,” said Robinson. “That’s what Blacktivity is—It’s All Us. I’m honored and overjoyed to marry all the parts of me, including my decades of nonprofit experience, in partnering with Devin White to bring Blacktivity to life.”

The platform has big plans beyond the launch, including its inaugural film festival in St. Louis this July, in collaboration with international filmmaker The Film Lord, and an end-of-year global festival in Barbados. As it gears up for its public debut, Blacktivity is actively seeking fresh, substantive Black and BIPOC content to showcase.

With heart, vision, and a radical belief in community-driven media, Blacktivity isn’t just launching a network—it’s launching a movement.
